Thank You Rev. George Maddox for Your Service!

Rev. George Maddox will be stepping down from his role on the Board of Trustees. We are deeply grateful for the six years of faithful service, leadership, and generous support. His dedication has been a lasting gift to our community.

During his term, George served as Chair of the Minister Sub-Committee, offering guidance and support to the Board. He will continue to serve on this sub-committee as a member in support of our new chair Rev. Melody Brauninger.

For those who don’t know George, he is an ordained minister and has been an AT member for several years. Anyone who has attended an in-person retreat at the La Veta retreat house has likely had the pleasure of spending time with George since he has spent the last 4 summers living in La Veta.

He has been a student of the Realization of Self for over 20 years. George was raised in traditional churches, he was led to Unity and A Course in Miracles, where he has been active in many awakening groups throughout the years.

He is a University of Missouri graduate and resides in Nashville, TN, with his wife and life partner, Liz. He’s been active in all of the churches he’s attended, serving on Boards and Committees.

We are grateful for George’s heart of service and look forward to his continued presence within the Awakening Together Sangha.

With Warm Gratitude for George’s Service.
