This program provides an opportunity to be in community with others who will to love consciousness more than the objects that appear in consciousness. The Loving Consciousness Meditation is a practice that came from Michael Langford and is intended to be practiced in an undisturbed setting. Rhoda Makled facilitates this program on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 – 8:30 am ET by gently leading participants through the Loving Consciousness Meditation. These meditation practices are a core teaching here in the Awakening Together Community. Come join us as we discover what Loving Consciousness means for each of us.
9:00 am -11:00 am – Heart Explorations: Embracing the Whole Show – Facilitated by Anne Blanchard
During our time together, we will explore what it takes to live from an open, undefended heart. Naturally, any true exploration of living from the heart necessarily entails taking a deep and sustained look at what prevents us from keeping our hearts open. Grounded in the knowledge that the essence of us, our true nature, is the very lovingness within us all, we will explore how to recognize and release egoic energies by cultivating open-hearted awareness practices which support us in directly experiencing our true Self. By leaning into willingness, steeped in self-honesty, and with a consistent dash of courage, we endeavor to open to whatever life brings, as it brings it, that is, on life’s terms. In so doing, we trust that everything – absolutely everything – is here for us to use for healing, purification, and for learning to live from the heart. We look forward to supporting each other in our individual explorations of how we truly embrace the entirety of this show we call life.
5:30 pm – Mooji Video
6:30 – 7:30 pm – Early Insights- Facilitated by Rev. Jacquelyn Eckert & Connie Poole
The pair will play Regina Dawn Akers’ Early Teaching videos and invite those in attendance to contemplate those teachings along with them.
Regina’s recently completed YouTube playlist featuring the “meat” of her early teachings is a treasure trove of insight into the practices and understanding that illuminated her path to awakening. Regina compiled the teachings by trimming down her early teaching audios to highlight the core components of the guidance she received early in her journey.
Because these teachings are so helpful, Jacquelyn and Connie plan to slowly review them by playing one or two of them each week and contemplating them in a group format.
7:30 – 8:30 pm – 500 Days Contemplating NTI – Revs. Joanne Schneider, Rhoda Makled, and Susan Bacon *Debut
Our founder and the scribe of The Holy Spirit’s Interpretation of the New Testament (NTI), Regina Dawn Akers, developed this free self-study spiritual curriculum for people with very busy lives. If you don’t have a lot of available time, but you are serious about spiritual awakening, this may be the curriculum for you!
And if you’ve been called to this practice, we are excited to announce that a group is forming to contemplate the “500 Days with NTI” curriculum together. Join Revs. Joanne Schneider, Susan Bacon, and Rhoda Makled on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month beginning Tuesday, January 10th @ 7:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. MT. You are invited to begin the curriculum on Sunday, January 8th.
Begin the First 100 Days Now
During the first meeting, we will:
- Review the practice and what we will do when we gather.
- Begin sharing from the first 3 days of the “500 Days with NTI” curriculum.
How Much Time Does It Take?
500 Days with NTI requires only a minimal amount of formal “sit down” practice. You’ll read approximately 1 page of NTI on most days. Occasionally you’ll read more. You’ll have one spiritual education assignment each weekend, which will typically take about 30 minutes to an hour. Sometimes it may take a little longer. After a certain point in the curriculum, you’ll be asked to meditate briefly on a daily basis (can you do 15 minutes?), and you’ll be asked to write every now and then.
Altogether, it will take about 30-40 minutes on most days. It’s designed so you can break that up into 15-20 minutes in the evening and 15-20 minutes in the morning if that suits your schedule best.
If It Doesn’t Take a Lot of Time, How Does it Work?
500 Days provides daily exercises that you can do as you work, socialize, clean house, do yard work, work out, play, etc. It’s a course that goes with you wherever you go!
Regina jokingly calls this curriculum, “super gentle healing.” However, don’t let the nickname fool you. Although 500 Days doesn’t take a lot of time each day, it is incredibly targeted and carefully designed by inspiration to help you achieve clarity and inner peace in this lifetime. You might even wake up to the true Self.
8:30 pm – Contemplating The Holy Spirit’s Interpretation of the New Testament – Joy Bedford
Join us to contemplate The Holy Spirit’s Interpretation of the New Testament. We’ll be noticing what arises and surrendering beyond resistance, if we are willing for this (and there is no judgment if we are not yet willing), as we explore NTI with Holy Spirit’s guidance.
