Bringing The Light of Awareness to The Making of a ‘Me’

What if the thoughts and beliefs we hold in our mind are also the bars of a self-created prison?
Teacher Angelo DiLullo describes the habit of mind identification as a kind of inner confinement—where thoughts and beliefs become the prison bars, and the ego acts as the warden. In this short, simple, and surprisingly powerful practice, we begin to loosen that identification by bringing our thoughts into the light.
The Practice of Mind Dumps is a daily, guided space in the Awakening Together Sanctuary where we write out whatever the mind is saying—uncensored, unedited, and without trying to fix or improve it. The goal isn’t to think better thoughts. The goal is to see thoughts as thoughts, to become familiar with their patterns, and to practice allowing the energies nestled in them to complete themselves through non-resistance.
When undertaken consistently, this practice supports a natural shift: while thoughts still arise, they no longer define us, direct us, or confine us. In short, we withdraw our consent from being subconsciously identified with them.

Bring a notebook or a document to type into, and come just as you are. No preparation needed—only willingness to meet the mind on paper and discover what becomes possible when thoughts are seen but not believed.
