Join us for our next Movie Watcher’s Group which will be facilitated by Rev. Anne Blanchard on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at 8 pm ET/6 pm MT.
This movie group will be a different experience since we will be watching this fun, festive movie together in the Sanctuary and then sharing our contemplations with some of the suggestions written below.
Remember the excitement you felt when you first watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas? How year after year when Christmas time rolled around you couldn’t wait to watch it again? Getting lost in the bright, colorful, alive animation of the cartoon, the dastardliness of the Grinch, and the innocence of all the Whos in Whoville was just part of the fun. Well during this month’s Awakening Together’s Movie Discussion Group we will be reprising that annual watching tradition by joining together in the Sanctuary and viewing this classic TV special together.
As we watch we will consider the following questions: What if this classic children’s tale is really a very deep Truth teaching in disguise? What if this too is an example of the consistent wisdom in the universe which, once one opens their heart to it, appears everywhere by the hand of universal grace? And, more specifically, what unique inner guidance is here for us to discern in this timeless holiday standard that helps us live more in tune with our true nature, awakening to one True Self? Directly following the showing, we will have an opportunity to share our experiences, our insights and any new revelations which arise from watching together with inner wisdom.
