Spiritual Mentoring Training

Program Overview
A spiritual mentor is an ordained minister who offers guidance to individuals who may be temporarily unable to recognize their own inner spiritual wisdom due to mental or emotional obstacles. The primary purpose of spiritual mentoring is to support the individual in becoming self-reliant with their inner wisdom as soon as possible.
This online training is designed to prepare Awakening Together Ordained Ministers to provide spiritual mentoring in alignment with Awakening Together principles and policies.
What You Will Learn
During this 8-week training program, participants will learn how to:
- Determine if you are ready to provide spiritual mentoring.
- Decide if there are limits on the type of spiritual mentoring you will provide.
- Bring clear, nonjudgmental awareness to the mentoring session.
- Guide from inner spiritual wisdom instead of the limited intellectual mind.
Practical Experience and Feedback
Participants will have opportunities to provide spiritual mentoring during the course.
An additional two weeks has been included to allow time for:

Receiving feedback on mentoring sessions

Asking questions and refining mentoring techniques
Eligibility
This curriculum is designed exclusively for Awakening Together Ordained Ministers.
According to Awakening Together policy, only Ordained Ministers may provide spiritual counseling for Awakening Together members and friends.
