Heart Explorations: Embracing the Whole Show ~ 11-11-25

During our time together, we will explore what it takes to live from an open, undefended heart.  Naturally, any true exploration of living from the heart necessarily entails taking a deep and sustained look at what prevents us from keeping our hearts open.  Grounded in the knowledge that the essence of us, our true nature, is the very lovingness within us all, we will explore how to recognize and release egoic energies by cultivating open-hearted awareness practices which support us in directly experiencing our true Self.  By leaning into willingness, steeped in self-honesty, and with a consistent dash of courage, we endeavor to open to whatever life brings, as it brings it, that is, on life’s terms.  In so doing, we trust that everything – absolutely everything – is here for us to use for healing, for purification, and for learning to live from the heart.  We look forward to supporting each other in our individual explorations of how we truly embrace the entirety of this show we call life.

To deepen further into the teachings from Heart Exploration here’s a link to the Being Aware of Awareness meditation podcast.  In these meditations, the reading from Heart Explorations is contemplated.

How to Ask Inner Wisdom the Best Question for Us At Any Given Moment:

STEP ONE:
My intention is to expose “my point of reference” on what is showing up in my perception. There are 3 ways to get at it through writing the thoughts out of the mind and on to paper:
  1. Write, “Here are the thoughts I see in my mind about why this current situation is very, very undesired.”, then start writing the thoughts, one thought per line.
  2. If there’s charge in the system, write out the thoughts on that.
  3. If there’s no charge in the system, ask, “What is my relative sense of self right now?”.

The purpose is that we are exposing “my point of reference” on my current perception, ie. “What is in my mind right now?”.

STEP TWO:
Go back over each thought and label which source each thought arises from, ie. if you can see it arises from mind, put an “M”. If you can’t quite see that fully, ie. if you can feel something is really believing it, put a “?” next to it.

STEP THREE:
  1. Ask Inner Wisdom what question you should ask It, about the specific thoughts which have question marks. Incorporate the thought itself into the question, for example, “I see that I believe [insert thought] is true, that it is from mind but believed to be true. I see that I am agreeing with this thought.”
  2. If there are no question marks, pick the stickiest thought and ask Inner Wisdom for help in asking a question about that sticky thought. Incorporate the thought itself into the question.
