I Love this song: To You
Per Regina's invitation (tip# 81) to share inspirations during the review period of lessons 81-90, I wanted to accept the invitation but the link in the tip was "dead" so I hope it's okay to "resurrect" the opportunity here...cuz again I love this song and I really wanted to share it! Also, it felt like a relevant share for todays tip and review lesson too.
Regina's tip #85 "...as I dedicate myself to spiritual practice, I experience an increase in my desire for spiritual practice." The songs use of the prodigal son parable illustrated that process in my mind..."the son comes back to the Father, runs back to the Father and then the Father comes to him, runs up to him...meets the son halfway! ha!
Just like how ACIM T-18.III.3. says, "Truth has rushed to meet you since you called upon it." That's how that increase Regina speaks about feels to me, like something joins with and increases my desire and willingness to keep on keeping on.
And when she sings "...I come to my senses (right mind) and let go of offenses (grievances) and You come running, running, while I am running, running..." that feels like what the text of Lesson 85 says, "To see, I must lay grievances aside. I want to see, and this will be the means by which I will succeed." Yes!
And finally just the overall feel of this video...the easing in, the joining with, and then the "something other than" taking over until this explosion...an eruption of Celebration and Joy. It demonstrates a dedication along a Joyful journey that calls me, to not just come, but to run towards it..."and I won't look back, No, I won't look back!" 😊 This gave me so much hope and joy, just wanted to share❤️
