Hi Everyone,
I am overwhelmed as I read the list of names below, just as I felt overwhelmed when I read the kudoboard you so generously created. It’s difficult to express how I feel. Your gratitude, love and appreciation is amazing, and yet I feel as if I did nothing at all to bring forth so much. Intellectually, I know a lot was accomplished during my ten years with Awakening Together, but the experience of it was always either:
a) Just being, just flowing, or
b) Practicing looking at and letting go of my wrong mind.
In other words, I haven’t been doing anything but following my guidance to the best of my ability in each moment. Everything else has been collateral. It feels a bit odd to receive so many “thanks” for simply doing what I was doing.
At the same time, I am incredibly grateful for each of you doing your best to follow guidance, watch your mind, let go of wrong-mindedness, etc., because I know that is everything!
So, the joke’s on me. Your gratitude feels funny to me, because I don’t feel I was doing anything. And yet I am grateful to you, because you are doing everything!
I did have a financial plan for my retirement. My plan was to apply for social security and live off of that. Jacquelyn told me when she shared my plan with Joanne, Joanne didn’t like it. Joanne thought I should wait to apply for social security because I’d get more if I applied later. As soon as I heard that I said, “Okay. I’ll wait.” My agreement didn’t come from wanting more money. It was just the feeling of surrendering to what I’d just been told.
You may not know it, but your financial donations totaled up to more than what I was receiving in annual salary with Awakening Together. Your donations will support me while I wait to apply for social security later. Thank you. Joanne’s words felt like guidance to me, I said ‘yes’ to guidance, and then God came through you to provide once again.
Please see the note from Jacquelyn and Rhoda, which is below.
Love, Regina
