With Gratitude for Ron’s Service
This month marks the completion of Ron’s six-year term on our Board of Directors. We extend our heartfelt thanks for his dedicated service, steady presence, and generous contributions—both in time and resources—that have helped sustain and strengthen our community.
During his term, Ron served as Treasurer, offering guidance to both the Board and our President-Minister. His thoughtful insights and practical experience were deeply appreciated.
For those who don’t know Ron, his path to Awakening Together has been heart opening. After growing up in a deeply religious Seventh Day Adventist family in a small Georgia town, he nearly entered the ministry before shifting course. His spiritual journey resumed years later when he attempted to disprove his wife’s spiritual beliefs—an effort that unexpectedly opened him to new understanding and exploration. That path led him through Neale Donald Walsch, Hay House authors, A Course in Miracles, Jennifer Hadley, and ultimately to the teachings of Inner Ramana and Nisargadatta.
He found deep resonance with Awakening Together’s teachings and platform and has brought his full heart, spiritual maturity, and professional acumen to this community. Since joining Awakening Together he has been a great supporter in bringing other teachers like Helen Hamilton into the community. Ron has since “mostly retired” from his work life and has spent a great deal of time exploring the globe. Many have had the opportunity to spend time with him at our retreat house in La Veta.
We are grateful for the time he has spent with us on the board and look forward to his continued presence within the Sangha.
Thank you, Ron.
