Awakening Together offers scholarships to members who want to participate in our events but need financial assistance to do so. (Learn more about membership by clicking here.)
We offer the following types of scholarships:
- Lodging Scholarships
- In-Person Retreat Scholarships
- Online Retreat Scholarships
- Event Scholarships
- MPP and Other Scholarships (including mentoring)
You can learn about each option and apply directly from this page. When reviewing applications, priority is given to those who have not received a scholarship in the past two years.
Lodging Scholarships
Lodging scholarships are available for stays at the Awakening Together Retreat House in La Veta, CO.
- Scholarships apply to shared rooms or semi-private rooms in the co-ed dorm.
- Lodging is offered at a 50% reduced rate: $42.50 per day plus state lodging tax.
- Scholarships are not available for private single rooms.
- You may apply for a lodging scholarship on its own or together with a retreat scholarship.
Reviews can take up to two weeks, so please apply early.
Stipulations
After approval, you must reserve your room and pay a one-night deposit within two weeks, or the scholarship will be forfeited.
Scholarship deposits are non-refundable.
The remaining balance must be paid 60 days before your arrival (or immediately if your arrival is sooner than 60 days).Final payments are non-refundable starting two weeks before your lodging date.
Retreat Scholarships
Awakening Together offers scholarships for both online and in-person retreats. These scholarships provide reduced retreat rates to make attendance more accessible. Note: Scholarships apply only to Awakening Together retreats, not events hosted by other groups at the Retreat House.
Online Retreat Scholarships
Online retreat scholarships use a sliding scale beginning at 25% of the retreat fee. Example: If a retreat costs $300, you may pay between $75 and $300 based on your needs.

After Approval
You must register and pay the scholarship fee within 10 days of approval.
If approved less than 10 days before the retreat, payment is due within 24 hours.
In-Person Retreat Scholarships
For in-person retreats lasting up to 5 days, scholarship recipients pay a flat rate of $250.

MPP, Mentoring, and Other Scholarships
An MPP course or Mentoring Sangha scholarship is 50% of the total fee and is due upon scholarship approval.
