Awakening Together offers scholarships for Awakening Together members who would like to join for an Awakening Together event but need financial assistance to do so. We offer:
- Lodging Scholarships
- In Person Retreat Scholarships
- Online Retreat Scholarships
- Event Scholarships
You can learn about and apply for these types of scholarships on this page. Those who have not received a scholarship in the past two years are considered first.
Lodging Scholarships
Lodging scholarships are available for a shared room or for a room in the co-ed dorm area at a 50% reduced rate of $42.50 per day plus tax. Scholarships are not available for private single rooms. You may apply for a lodging scholarship in conjunction with a retreat scholarship or you may apply for a lodging scholarship only. It may take up to two weeks to review and approve a scholarship application, so we recommend applying as early as possible.
Stipulations:
- If you are approved for a lodging scholarship, you must make your reservation and pay $42.50 + tax as a deposit within two weeks of receiving approval or you forfeit the scholarship.
- Scholarship deposits are non-refundable.
- The balance due must be paid 60 days prior to your arrival date or in full if your arrival date is sooner than 60 days away.
Online and In-Person Retreat Scholarships
Retreat scholarships are available for retreats offered by Awakening Together. They are not available for retreats offered at the Retreat House by other groups. A retreat scholarship allows you to pay a reduced rate per day for the retreat.
- An online retreat scholarship is 50% of the retreat fee. For example, if the online retreat fee is $300 then the scholarship rate is $150.
- An in-person retreat scholarship is 25% of the retreat fee. For example, if the retreat fee is $600 then the scholarship rate is $150.
It may take up to two weeks to review and approve a scholarship application, so we recommend applying as early as possible.
Stipulations:
- Scholarship applications for online retreats must be received 3 days prior to the close of registration for the retreat, unless otherwise specified.
- Scholarship applications for in-person retreats must be received 3 weeks prior to the close of registration for the retreat, unless otherwise specified.
- If you are approved for a retreat scholarship, you must make your reservation and pay the retreat scholarship fee in full within 10 days of receiving approval. If a retreat scholarship is approved less than 10 days prior to an event, the scholarship fee must be paid in full within 24 hours of notification.
Event (i.e., Pilgrimage) Scholarships
Event (i.e., Pilgrimage) scholarships are available for retreats offered by Awakening Together. They are not available for events offered by other groups. An event scholarship allows you to pay a reduced rate per event.
An event scholarship is 50% of the shared per person rate. For example, if the event is $1,995 then the scholarship rate is $997.50.
It may take up to two weeks to review and approve a scholarship application, so we recommend applying as early as possible.
Stipulations:
- Scholarship applications for events must be received 4 weeks prior to the close of registration for the event, unless otherwise specified.
- If you are approved for an event scholarship, you must make your reservation and pay the event deposit within 10 days of receiving approval. The balance will be due by the close of registration. If a scholarship is approved less than 10 days prior to an event, the scholarship fee must be paid in full within 24 hours of notification.
