Important Information Regarding Our Last Member Meeting

At our quarterly member meeting, Rev. Jacquelyn did not have the information regarding the reason for the large increase in donations for the first quarter of 2020 as compared to the same quarter last year. We have investigated the matter and have determined that the $10,000 increase is due in large part to increased giving by all of our members! We received one or two large donations during the first quarter of this year, but the increase came in through 138 different donations from all of you! Thank you for your generosity and for helping Awakening Together provide free programming and services to all of you.

Clarification Regarding Voting in General Trustee Election

The question was raised whether members could “stack” their votes for a single candidate in our upcoming Trustee Election. Upon reviewing the Bylaws, it appears that, that voting tactic is impermissible in the general Trustee Election.

We are electing four Trustees. Each member will have four votes, but he or she must select four separate candidates to support. Indeed, the ballot you will receive on June 15 will only allow you to place one vote for each candidate you support, up to a total of four votes per ballot.
