The Prodigal Son was afraid to go home – because he believed that his guilt was so damning that his Father could never forgive him. Our Father says “come home” – why would we say no? What is the purpose of the crucifixion? Lyn Johnson, Licensed Minister offers some thoughts on the reason we are reluctant to come home. The Importance of the Desire for Truth
Regina Dawn Akers, minister, shared the importance of increasing our desire to awaken. The desire to awaken is a powerful force that can draw supportive circumstances into one’s life, provide the ability to see what one could not see before and supply the drive to be earnest in spiritual practice. Therefore, increasing the desire to awaken is itself a very important form of worship.
