Title: “Dropping the Fear of Death”
Awakening Together member and dear friend, Lynn Turner, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 3:47 pm ET. Her family was in prayerful meditation by a fountain near her hospice room at the time of her passing. She left as her family held the space for her safe and light filled passage.
Awakening Together will celebrate the life of Lynn on Sunday, January 19 at 11:30 am ET (immediately following the Weekly Gathering). Please join us for this 30-minute celebration of remembrance, if you can.
Rev. Jacquelyn Eckert facilitates this program, in which Awakening Together members and friends join together to watch and discuss TED talks that reveal the Truth of ourselves and our universe based on the actual experience of ordinary people. Their insights are genuine—not based upon theory or dogma—and give us a “man on the street” perspective on what we are coming to learn through Awakening Together.
Regina Dawn Akers reads selections from books by Bernadette Roberts. The purpose of this inspired book study is to learn from one who walked through the final doorway to no self, no world, no God–Only Reality.
Shawna Summers will interview Laura Bedford on Sunday, January 19th, from 8 to 9 pm Eastern time, which is 6- 7 pm Mountain time, in the Awakening Together Sanctuary. Shawna has decided to interview Laura, because Laura is an inspiration living as a Peace Pilgrim in a way the world might think of as crazy. In 2015, Laura walked coast to coast to raise awareness that Inner Peace is our True Divine Christ Nature. Every lack of Inner Peace flows from not knowing our True Self.
Laura had her first mystical experience in childhood that helped raise questions in her mind. Since 1992 she has been involved with learning and practices for enlightening to our True, Divine Christ Nature. She makes no claim to enlightenment, saying she has simply been given (mystical) windows that confirm to her the existence of God. Join us to discover more about her unique journey!
Regina Dawn Akers reads the conversation dated January 12, 1981 from Consciousness and the Absolute.
Rev. Jacquelyn Eckert shares with honesty and passion about the ups, downs, and all-around of the spiritual journey. Jacquelyn is transparent as she shares about the impersonal awakening process we all experience. She moves us with stories from her own journey, with direct insight from inner wisdom and with guidance from spiritual masters, both contemporary and legendary.
Regina Dawn Akers reads from the Tao Te Ching in order to contemplate enlightened leadership.
Regina Dawn Akers guides a group of committed students who would like to make consistent, gentle progress toward genuine peace, joy and love.

Weekly Gathering with Rev. Jacquelyn Eckert
Title: “Wait! What am I Defending?”
Description: Rev. Jacquelyn Eckert looked at the tendency we have to defend ourselves. She examined how pervasive our defense mechanism is and how it preserves the ego sense of self. She discussed how defending ourselves supports our fundamental sense of separation from and conflict with others.
