The knowledge that ignores the Self, the knower, and holds as true the field perceived, is but illusive folly. No matter how much one has learned, true knowledge is the merging of all indicative knowledge in awareness of the Self.

Even the knowledge sense-perceived of the world without has for its ground the Self above. To search for knowledge somewhere else apart from That is but to grasp the shadow, but not the substance.

Today, please read the Introduction in The Seven Steps to Awakening. Read with your inner teacher by seeking clarity regarding what you read. You may stop reading at the subheading titled, “How To Read the Quotes.” We will read that section tomorrow.

Here is a quote from today’s reading:

“People often study spiritual teachings just because they find the concepts interesting. They like to discuss the teachings, argue about the teachings, think about the teachings, go on and on asking questions but missing the answers, etc. Most people fail to distinguish between that which is essential and that which is merely a distraction and detour, like a group of people who meet in an automobile once per week to discuss various maps without ever putting the key in the ignition and without ever moving the car even one inch.”

Tips from Regina ~ Introduction to Gentle Healing Year 3 (This is Year 2 Day 365 & Year 3 Daily Contemplation #1)

In order to progress on the spiritual path with your inner teacher, tomorrow you will begin reading and contemplating The Seven Steps to Awakening. Over the next year, you will receive insight from inner wisdom and specific guidance tailored especially for you.

I won’t write tips in Year 3, because it’s time for me to leave you in the hands of the best teacher, your inner teacher. There will be a Daily Contemplation assignment each day, which will provide instruction regarding what to read and contemplate from The Seven Steps to Awakening. To help you contemplate the quotes, you can use my Seven Steps journal, which is published as Out of the Stillness: Realizing Non-Dual Truth One Step at a Time. However, it’s important to realize that your contemplation may not look like mine. For example:

I contemplated each Seven Steps quote individually. You might read and contemplate 4 quotes as one cohesive group of quotes.
I wrote short bits of wisdom after contemplating each quote. You might write longer messages from your inner teacher, similar to the messages I received while writing with Inner Ramana.

There may be other differences between my Seven Steps journal and your journal, so don’t imagine that your journal is supposed to look like mine. Don’t imagine that it is supposed to look any particular way at all. Let the inner teacher guide, and trust your inner teacher.

Today, you can prepare for Year 3 by reviewing the tip from Day 328.

If you have decided not to move on to Year 3, consider retaking Gentle Healing Year 1 or Year 2. You might find Year 1 interesting, because it’s been awhile since you went through that curriculum. You will most definitely see it and experience it differently this time. However, if you feel guided to repeat Year 2, follow your guidance. It knows what is best for you.
