Awakening Together Satsang with Bhante Wimala
Here’s the morning meditation audio by Bhante: listen to audio
Anne Blanchard interviewed Bhante Wimala for our Awakening Together Guest Satsang on February 16, 2020.
Venerable Bhante Y. Wimala has been a Buddhist monk for 47 years, known throughout the world as a compassionate spiritual teacher and tireless humanitarian, with projects and teaching programs all over the world.
Unlike most monks who wander in their homelands or live ascetically in monasteries, Bhante has been called to spend his life traveling around the world to teach and to heal and to bring peace to the people of our planet. He has forged friendships across the globe and has been involved in numerous projects involving restoring entire villages in Sri Lanka ravaged by the tsunami and war, earthquake relief in Haiti and Nepal, and cyclone relief in Bangladesh. He personally oversees countless projects across the globe, especially in Africa and Asia, to restore eyesight, bring medical supplies and wheelchairs where there were none, educate youth, build orphanages and hospitals, bring water to villages high in the mountains of Nepal which were cut off after the earthquake, create job training for women, homes for the homeless and bring hope to prisoners and suffering individuals around the world.

Satsang with Laura Bedford
Rev. Shawna Summers interviewed Laura Bedford. Laura is an inspiration living as a Peace Pilgrim in a way the world might think of as crazy. In 2015, Laura walked coast to coast to raise awareness that Inner Peace is our True Divine Christ Nature. Every lack of Inner Peace flows from not knowing our True Self.
Laura had her first mystical experience in childhood that helped raise questions in her mind. Since 1992 she has been involved with learning and practices for enlightening to our True, Divine Christ Nature. She makes no claim to enlightenment, saying she has simply been given (mystical) windows that confirm to her the existence of God. Join us to discover more about her unique journey!
Awakening Together Satsang with Natalie Gray
Rev. Jacquelyn Eckert interviewed Natalie Gray.
When asked for her biography, Natalie wrote:
“I’m an ordinary being who spent a good part of my childhood and the first 25 years of this adult life searching for meaning and answers. This seeking took many forms including: practicing Catholicism, trying to find a calling (as an actress, teacher and life coach), attending self-help and awareness seminars, study and initiation with various spiritual teachers and teachings and using drugs. After coming to the realization that no one or no thing outside of me was going to provide the answers, an intense internal search for the truth ensued. “The end of seeking” occurred in 2010. There were no more questions. There was no more need for answers. What was sought had been found.
I have been married for 20 years, I do voiceover work for a living, I had a cat until she died last year, I am currently in remission from breast cancer, and I work a 12-step program.
Along with some YouTube videos and a few blog entries, I have mostly shared my experience and insights through one-on-one conversations. It has been nine years since the end of seeking occurred. There has been no shift or change in the perspective I gained then—a clear understanding of what has always been true.”
Interview with Brian Tom O’Connor
or
Listen to Roundtable Sangha Discussion
Regina interviewed Brian Tom O’Connor, the author of Awareness Games: Playing with Your Mind to Create Joy.
Brian Tom O’Connor is an actor, theater director, cabaret performer, and formerly depressed guy who stumbled onto the source of joy and happiness in the background of all experience. He is not an enlightened person, which, in fact, is a good thing, because if someone as imperfect and flawed as he is can find it, so can you.
So try the games and make up your own. Experiment. See what works for you. It’s all about your direct experience. Play with pure awareness and discover the background of all experience, where happiness is hiding in plain sight.

Awakening Together Follow-up Satsang with Suse Wicks
or
Rev. Jacquelyn Eckert interviewed Suse Wicks.
This is our second Satsang with Suse Wicks. Our last Satsang interview with Suse can be found at this link. When asked for her latest biography, Suse wrote: “This expression best reflects my sharing: Seeking confirms that one feels a loss, something missing, a separateness that needs to be fulfilled. Seeking is the search and belief that something has to be better than what is or something better is attainable. That is why the position of a seeker is endless. Everything that is appearing in every nano second is always whole, complete and pure just as it is. One has to make this discovery for oneself. Living life with no explanation is living life as unconditional love.”

Awakening Together Satsang with Eshwar Segobind
Eshwar Segobind shared his message and it was startling in its simplicity. Eshwar’s spiritual path is remarkable both for its brevity and for the depth of practical insight he manifests. In less than a year, Eshwar went from a recovery program to a profound spiritual awakening to his true nature. He shared about his journey and how he came to know the Truth as it is for him now. Enjoy his stark clarity. It is palpable.
He also extended an invitation that he is happy to speak to those with sincere questions and does not charge for his time. He can be reached at sensewithoutmind@gmail.com.
Upon listening to the recording of the Satsang, Eshwar requested that the following note be added to this post for clarity:
There was an error on my part when I refered to “Nothing.” The way it seemed was as though this nothing is what you are, and this “nothing” is a goal to attain. I did not realize this. Just clear seeing that even the sense of existence never existed. Nothing ever happened, nothing is going to happen and nothing ever happened. “Nothing” is not anything. Muted. No-thing, not a thing, not anything, not nothing.
The second part: it may seem as though i was eluding to a TRUE Self that you become. The above clarification dismisses that possibility. What was being pointed at: We must accept that we are here and now and that we do exist, whatever shape and form that takes for each of us. The idea of a separate self or individual or the way we think of ourselves is just that, an idea. Only then can we accurately de-construct whatever it is that we believe exists. This idea that we are something and even more subtle, when the idea is gone, this nothing that’s left is what we are. This nothing that’s everything and nothing.
