Weekly Sunday Gathering with Rev. Gloria Wells
Title: “Creating Space within Content”
Description: Rev. Gloria shared how paying attention to the space between the stimulus and the response is a tool to allow us to empower true freedom. She emphasized how Victor Frankl, even in the most dire circumstances, with what little freedom he did have, was able to remain truly free. Victor did this by focusing on Self-Awareness and how he could still make choices that fed freedom and then expanded the reality of that freedom. The message was that because he could do that in a situation such as being in the death camps, then surely in our modern, everyday life with much less stressful situations we, too, can also exercise this right to focus on the freedom inherent in the gap, the space between the stimulus and the response.
