Day 152 Assignment
This evening (or tomorrow morning):
- Select one recent upset. Take some time to look at that upset more deeply. Are you able to see the thought in your mind that led to the upset? The thought has nothing to do with the outside situation. It is an interpretation of the outside situation. For example, Regina wasn’t really worried about her daughter getting cold; she was worried about what people would think of her if her daughter didn’t wear a coat. That was her mind’s interpretation of the situation. See if you can discover your mind’s interpretation. The goal is merely to bring that interpretation into awareness.
- Start this NTI Luke audio at 19 minutes and 10 seconds and listen to the rest of the audio.
Tomorrow:
- Set a timer for 15-30 minutes and practice the ‘Do Nothing’ meditation. If you would like to, watch this video as you practice the meditation: Golden Star Rain
- When you notice you’ve shifted into the wrong mind, shift back into the right mind (which may take time) through forgiveness, love, acceptance, gratitude and rejoicing.
- After returning to the right mind, make a note about any upset you noticed while in the wrong mind. If you can’t make a note right away, do it as soon as you can.
(You may always select another meditation video from this playlist.)
