Day 145 Assignment
This evening (or tomorrow morning):
- Read NTI Luke 11 (v1-13) – (v14-28).
- Contemplate the difference between how the ego mind feels and how the inspired mind feels as you consider the following characteristics of each. If you feel to write anything as you contemplate, follow your prompt and write.
~ The ego mind divides, judges, selects and specifies.
~ The inspired mind forgives, loves, accepts, is grateful and rejoices.
Tomorrow:
- Set a timer for 15-30 minutes and practice the ‘Do Nothing’ meditation. If you would like to, watch this video as you practice the meditation: Surf Sounds
- Throughout the day, watch the thinking in your mind to see if you can catch it:
~ Dividing, for example: this and that; me and him; us and them, etc.
~ Judging, for example: good and bad; smart and dumb; desired and undesired, etc.
~ Selecting, which is making a choice after dividing and judging.
~ Specifying, which is identifying someone or something in a definite manner. - After noticing the mind processes described above, pause and ask: “What am I to do now?” Feel for an intuitive prompt. Trust what you feel, and do that.
Note: If it feels more appropriate, ask “How am I to respond?” or “How shall I see this?
