Title: “Nurturing Your Mind – A Homily on Ego Suicide”
Description: It’s confounding how, by some accounts, ego appears to vanish at enlightenment, and yet by way of other accounts, it is only the ego who walks the path and who ever becomes enlightened anyways. Which is it: Does ego vanish and the True Self come to the forefront of life, or does ego wake up to its own true nature and become the vessel of God? Are we on a path of ego suicide?
It is a paradox for both to be true. Life, though—just as it has fleas and mosquitoes—has paradoxes, itchy as they may be. The ego is an itchy paradox who seeks both to be free and to be clear. Join me in exploring the kindness we can live with as the fragile sense of self walks the spiritual path.
