{"id":44275,"date":"2019-12-18T23:10:03","date_gmt":"2019-12-19T06:10:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/awakening-together.org\/dev2\/?p=44275"},"modified":"2019-12-18T09:31:14","modified_gmt":"2019-12-18T16:31:14","slug":"gentle-healing-year-1-lesson-293","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/awakening-together.org\/dev2\/gentle-healing-year-1-lesson-293\/","title":{"rendered":"Gentle Healing Year 1 ~ Lesson 293"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>What is the Real World?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our special theme says, \u201cThe real world cannot be perceived except through eyes forgiveness blesses \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What does that mean?<\/p>\n<p>To me, \u201ceyes\u201d implies looking, seeing and perceiving.<\/p>\n<p>We learned from our first special theme that &#8220;forgiveness&#8221; is recognizing yourself as the unaffected Self.<\/p>\n<p>So, that sentence means that the real world is perceived when we know ourselves as the unaffected Self, and we look out on the world from that knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>With the help of spiritual intuition, we have each selected a perception in which we do <em>not<\/em> see our self as unaffected. It isn\u2019t helpful to start telling ourselves, \u201cI am unaffected,\u201d when there is probably a deep-seated belief that we are affected. Instead, it is more helpful to look carefully at the belief that we are affected.<\/p>\n<p>It is time for inquiry.<\/p>\n<p>Through Gentle Healing, we have learned about several types of inquiry including root cause inquiry, Byron Katie\u2019s \u201cThe Work\u201d, Diederik Wolsak\u2019s \u201cChoose Again\u201d inquiry, and Inner Ramana\u2019s self-inquiry. Use any of these methods, a combination of methods or your own inquiry process in order to learn what you fear regarding the selected perception. Set a goal of being able to honestly explain your fear to another person in a dispassionate way by tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Note: According to my dictionary, dispassionate means \u201cnot influenced by strong emotion, and so able to be rational and impartial.\u201d That doesn\u2019t mean that you will repress any emotion. Emotion might be present, but your description will not go off into stories that are influenced by that emotion. Your description of the fear will be \u201crational and impartial.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>All fear is past and only love is here.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We learned previously that the past is only thought. Today\u2019s workbook lesson says, \u201cAll fear is past,\u201d which means all fear is only thought.<\/p>\n<p>Today you will look to discover thoughts you believe that also cause you to believe you are a vulnerable affected self. These thoughts are obstacles to the vision of the real world.
