{"id":27319,"date":"2018-01-18T01:50:41","date_gmt":"2018-01-18T08:50:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/awakening-together.org\/dev2\/?p=27319"},"modified":"2018-01-12T08:28:19","modified_gmt":"2018-01-12T15:28:19","slug":"tips-regina-lesson-362","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/awakening-together.org\/dev2\/tips-regina-lesson-362\/","title":{"rendered":"Tips from Regina ~ Lesson 362"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Final Lessons<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Introduction to the final lesson says, \u201cHis is the only way to find the peace that God has given us. \u2026 It is His ending to the dream we seek and not our own.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As you contemplate the final lesson throughout the day today, it is also helpful to contemplate this excerpt from the Introduction. We seek \u201cHis ending\u201d and \u201cnot our own.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Recently I read <em>The Final Understanding<\/em> by Floyd Henderson. In that book, he wrote:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">So many take their favorite teaching method and its teachings as the final step, adopting a religious or spiritual persona and fixating in that role for the remainder of the manifestation\u2026doing spiritual stuff and eating spiritual stuff and wearing spiritual stuff and\u2014in all of their spiritual doingness\u2014living in what they take to be a most non-natural, supernatural, \u201celevated,\u201d \u201chigher\u201d (and yes, \u201cseparate and different\u201d) manner.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, the ego can play the spiritual game. It can believe the teachings and imagine itself living them. The ego gets a sense of satisfaction out of being the spiritual one. However, we aren\u2019t seeking a new game for the ego to play. We do not seek an elevated, spiritual persona or even an elevated, spiritual community. We seek \u201cHis ending\u201d and \u201cnot our own.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Let humility be the name of our game.
