{"id":26838,"date":"2017-12-21T01:50:42","date_gmt":"2017-12-21T08:50:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/awakening-together.org\/dev2\/?p=26838"},"modified":"2017-12-14T14:27:44","modified_gmt":"2017-12-14T21:27:44","slug":"tips-regina-lesson-335","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/awakening-together.org\/dev2\/tips-regina-lesson-335\/","title":{"rendered":"Tips from Regina ~ Lesson 335"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>What is the Ego?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our special theme says, \u201cThe ego is insane.\u201d It also says, \u201cThe Son of God is egoless.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What am I?<\/p>\n<p>The correct answer would be \u201cthe egoless Son of God,\u201d but is that my actual experience?<\/p>\n<p>Am I free of all sorrow and suffering? Do I live in eternal joy? Is my experience absolutely free of fear and guilt? Do I see only peace surrounding me? Is my experience that of the deepest silence and tranquility?<\/p>\n<p>If not, then I do not know myself as the egoless Son of God. And if I would like to know my egoless Self, I have some work to do to undo illusions in my mind.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I choose to see my brother\u2019s sinlessness.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our lesson begins by saying, \u201cForgiveness is a choice.\u201d However, it continues by saying, \u201cI never see my brother as he is, for that is far beyond perception.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I think Course students sometimes feel that if they let go of the current judgment in their mind, they have let go of seeing their brother with ego, and they are now seeing him and accepting him as he is. However, our workbook lesson says that our brother, as he is, <strong>is far beyond perception<\/strong>. That means that as long as we perceive a world and bodies, we do not know our brother. If we do not know our brother, we also do not know our Self.<\/p>\n<p><em>A Course in Miracles<\/em> points far beyond simply being kind to others, although being kind to everyone is a very good start. <em>A Course in Miracles<\/em> points to full awakening, manonasa, as the way to see and know everything <strong>as it is<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Sister Bernadette Roberts described creation beyond the world and beyond consciousness as \u201ceternal form.\u201d She wrote, \u201cBeyond consciousness, the ultimate Truth of the divine is that it is neither immanent (within anything) nor transcendent (beyond anything), but IS everything that eternally exists.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What eternally exists? Sister Bernadette is clear that it is not consciousness or matter as we perceive matter, but there is \u201ceternal form that cannot be grasped by the senses, the intellect or consciousness.\u201d Whatever that is, <em>that<\/em> is our brother as he is. That is also our true nature.<\/p>\n<p>As you interact with others today, contemplate that you <em>have no idea<\/em> what this one\u2019s \u201ceternal form\u201d is. You cannot see him\/her as he\/she is. You do not know <em>anything<\/em> as it is, not even yourself. Let this sink in as deeply as you can allow it to sink in. Don\u2019t let the mind short-circuit your contemplation by saying, \u201cHe is light,\u201d or \u201cShe is God.\u201d Don\u2019t be satisfied with mere concepts today. However, DO realize that <strong>ego is the obstacle<\/strong> that blocks true vision.
