Lesson 157. Into His Presence would I enter now.
We used Michael Langford’s theatre analogy last week to illustrate our ability to make the choice for heaven. What is the choice for heaven but to see the truth of all that surrounds us?
All that surrounds us is the truth of life. Without life, nothing is. God is life. All that surrounds us is an echo of the voice for God because all that surrounds us is life.
Today’s workbook lesson is poetic way of advising us to consciously bring ourselves into the present or the presence of life. Most of us spend our days in our thinking minds moving from one thought to another, one task to another, which keeps our focus from the presence of life.
Life is always present. Stop for a moment now and see if this isn’t true. Softly, what do you hear? What do you see. Doesn’t life abound around you? Isn’t it always thus? Where are you when you aren’t aware of the life in all that you see?
Today, stay focused on the thought, “Into His Presence would I enter now,” and let inner vision teach you to notice and celebrate life. You will see it in yourself. You will see it in others. You will see it in birds, animals and insects. You will see it in trees and plants. You will notice it in the sun, the wind and in rocks and soil and water.
“Nothing is needed but today’s idea to light your mind, …” Reflect on today’s idea. Let it show you that you are the joy of life, living within and amongst joy and life, which are one.
