Today’s review idea:
I am not a body. I am free. For I am still as God created me.
It can be but my gratitude I earn.
This lesson can best be made clear by first realizing this idea: for there to be conflict there has to be two. One might reason, unless there are two of something, like two people, how could conflict arise? Even if the person feels himself to be conflicted, he must have two conflicting ideas that are causing him a problem.
First and most practically, we never have conflicting desires because we all really have the same desire. That desire is to know our oneness, our freedom, our awakening.
I realize that any seeming conflict is providing me with the opportunity to heal my mind. So I shift into gratitude. I let myself feel grateful for the gift of the seeming conflict, which is helping me achieve my desire.
After feeling genuine gratitude for the opportunity, I move myself into self-inquiry, I open up and rest with my feelings, or I engage in another spiritual practice that feels right in the moment.
My gratitude has strengthened my spiritual resolve and turned an opportunity for conflict into an opportunity to heal.
