THE NATURAL MEDITATION RETREAT
AWAKENING-TOGETHER RETREAT HOUSE
JULY 22 – 26, 2019 WITH REGINA DAWN AKERS
My Reflections:
La Veta and the area of the Retreat House is like being in paradise. You are surrounded by mountains and a beautiful lake. Within an hour, there are wonderful natural resources for those that love the outdoors. The Retreat House is an oasis. The Meditation Room is always available for silence. There’s also two decks that surround that back of the house that with fabulous views.
Staying at the Retreat House(RH) is very sweet. Not only is Shiryl a fantastic cook, she welcomes you into the RH with love. Rules of the RH are explained, so that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Shiryl is a lovely hostess and respects the RH as her own home. Everything was immaculate.
The Natural Meditation Retreat was an amazing week of meditation, contemplation, walking in nature and Satsung with Regina with Shawna, Shiryl, Ron and myself. It was a time of personal reflection, Regina’s insights, group reflections and interactions.
Regina balanced the Retreat with her guidance and time for personal reflections – reflections together with the group and time alone. By her example and teachings, I have learned to go deeper in my own spiritual pursuit. Regina is very accepting and patient. She shares her guidance, reflections in an informal way and explains things with clarity. Regina is a blessing and a gift.
No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, I strongly recommend attending the Retreats and the Retreat House. You then have ample opportunity to spend your days in practice and to take your practice with you each moment. There’s an inherent beauty of being here with like-minded spiritual people.
My wish for the Retreat House, is that it will always be filled with Group Retreats and/or silent retreats. It will be a place for spiritual journeys. All of us have a role here at Awakening-Together. As we travel on the road to finding inner peace and love; we raise the spiritual levels of Awakening for ourselves and others. As we learn and synergize together, we help ourselves and others gain insights into this ‘peace that is beyond understanding.’ We can do this just by our example and/or in other ways.
We each have a purpose/role/goal to play and have been called together for this moment in purpose. Let us accept and trust our roles that allow what is To BE for the highest good.
