The term ‘conditioning’ (as well as ‘mental conditioning’ and ‘psychological conditioning’) has come up a bit lately in the Supreme Yoga quotes (e.g., #154, 163, 165, 175) for Regina’s Gentle Healing Group. I looked it up but also felt to ask here if anyone has any insight to share on its meaning.
This bit on the unconditioned mind seemed relevant. I bolded some parts.

Excerpts from “The unconditioned mind”:
... the unconditioned mind is the ultimate goal of all human endeavors for one simple reason—when we rest in the unconditioned mind, there is nothing we need. We are complete.
... When we are present to the unconditioned mind, thoughts, feelings and perceptions arise, but they no longer condition us. Even though this sounds extraordinary, the unconditioned mind isn’t something that is removed from our everyday life. It is an experience in which we discover total freedom in the midst of our conditioned existence. It’s a way of being in which our conditioning—our age, sex, history, education, physical condition and financial situation—no longer limit us. We find ourselves intimately connected with everything within and around us, yet we’re beyond being disturbed in any way. …
… The experience of the unconditioned mind is a very precise experience. It’s the only experience that is totally open and without any structure. This is why it is sometimes called “contentless wisdom.”
... By purity we mean the absence of objectifying structures. By the depth of the experience, we mean the extent to which the unconditioned pervades or infuses our conditioned existence. …

Julieta, another source for looking at conditioning is Michael Singers book'The Untethered Soul'. He does an excellent job of defining, helping us see conditioning and gives very effective practices to releasing this block to out Truth!
