This comedy film starring Adam Sandler, as Michael Newman, who seems to have it all! However his wife, Donna (Kate Beckinsale), is increasingly frustrated by the amount of time he has to spend at work. Michael cannot find time to be at home until he meets an eccentric inventor (Christopher Walken) who gives him a universal remote that controls time. At first, he happily skips the boring times until he realizes the remote is in control of his life, and he learns the valuable lesson of cherishing ALL of the precious moments with his family.

Gentle Healing is taking a break during the Fall Retreat. Daily posts will resume on Wednesday, October 30.

During this break, there will be days when you do not receive a Daily Update.

You will receive Daily Updates when Dawn posts audios from the Sanctuary and when there is an AT News announcement. However, there will be some days during this break when there are no new posts and therefore, there will not be a Daily Update.

Freedom from the Ego Retreat

To the degree that you are unaware of ego, you are a slave to ego. It speaks in your mind as you, and you think it is you, so you talk, feel and act based on its deception. The way to become free of ego is, first and foremost, to become aware of its cunning messages.

At this retreat, you will learn to see how the ego tricks you into living from its guidance instead of from spiritual intuition. When you leave this retreat, you will see the ego more clearly than you did before. That will provide you with the opportunity to disregard ego, which is how you free yourself from it.

This retreat is led by Regina Dawn Akers. Regina will emphasize skills that help you transcend ego and recognize inner wisdom as the Voice that makes you happy.

Retreat Schedule

The retreat will begin at 10am on Monday, December 9 and end at 3pm on Friday, December 13. We recommend arriving in La Veta on or before Sunday, December 8 and departing on or after Saturday, December 14.

All guests are welcome to stay at the AT Retreat House for up to 28 days. Longer stays are possible with permission.
