“Sitting in stillness is all about going to the root of being. This root is also the root of movement, energy, and emptiness. The mind may be busy, but you can open to the silence from which thought arises.” Adyashanti
Sunday in the Awakening Together Sanctuary – 7/24/16
Join us this Sunday morning for our Weekly Gathering
Our Weekly Gathering is Sunday at 10:15am ET in the Awakening Together Sanctuary. Rev. Jacquelyn Eckert’s topic is, “Experiencing Reality / Experiencing the Now”. Rev. Jacquelyn will explore the idea that to recognize the gulf between aliveness itself and anything generated by the mind (however “true” it appears to be) is a liberating discovery and the way to come to know what you deeply are.
Connie Poole will be the reader. She will read from a Jan Frazier teaching, “Consciousness and Chronic Pain”.
Join us this Sunday evening at 8 PM ET, for our Spirit Led Movie Watcher’s Group. This month’s movie is “The Nines”. Reverend Jacquelyn Eckert says:
“Movies are modern day parables. Watching movies with your inner guide can inform rather than just entertain you. This Spirit Led Movie Watchers Discussion Group will facilitate the participants’ ability to identify spiritual themes in everyday movies and to use movies as a way of uncovering unconscious beliefs about ourselves and the world we live in.”
About The Nines: “You’re not who you think you are”
This film is broken into three chapters centred around three men (all played by Ryan Reynolds) who try to uncover the secret about strange happenings in their, at times overlapping, lives. For the Hollywood player with the right job description and available technology, isn’t it tempting to imagine being God? A video-game designer or a reality-television director, as omnipotent creator and manipulator of a discrete little world, may fancy himself possessor of the keys to the kingdom. Watch the three parts carefully, “The Prisoner”, “Reality Television” and “Knowing” – all symbolic of our own dilemmas in this world.
Watch the movie, then join us Sunday at 8:00 PM ET to discuss your thoughts.
Common Ground Guest Mini Series – Carrie Triffet – Living in Mastery
Living in mastery is a proactive decision, starting from this moment. No need to wait for enlightenment to ‘happen to you’ first! This course will offer some simple forms of practice for stepping into this choice right now, to help you gain firsthand experience and confidence in this process.
Join Carrie Triffet, in a new 8-Week Mini-Series in the Awakening Together Sanctuary. The program is Sunday evening at 9pm ET.
My life was forever changed in 1986 by the sudden appearance of a mysterious inner Voice—which introduced itself with the intriguing statement: Long time no see. This divine guide led me into a twenty year practice of Buddhism. And then beginning in 2005, a series of profound shifts very quickly changed everything for me. Over the next decade the Voice led me to an intensive practice of A Course in Miracles, as well as other subsequent teachings. And finally this magnificent inner guide has led me—a stubbornly single-minded spiritual seeker—to the end of seeking.
Carrie is the author of three books: TASTES LIKE GOD, LONG TIME NO SEE, and THE ENLIGHTENMENT PROJECT.

“The supreme meaning is great and small, it is as wide as the space of the starry Heaven and as narrow as the cells of the living body.” Carl G. Jung

“To find out what is truly individual in ourselves, profound reflection is needed; and suddenly we realize how uncommonly difficult the discovery of individuality in fact is.” Carl G. Jung
July 21, 2016 Daily Quote
“Even the ugliest of doubts and the most separate of differences rise from the beautiful source as Isness. In Self there are no do’s or don’ts. If there is unhappiness, you are not unhappy, you are the Untouched Awareness of this unhappiness. As waves are not separate from the ocean, nor rays from sun, you are not separate from existence. You are the Moment in which all is.” Papaji

“In an absolute sense, everything happens quite spontaneously. You don’t need to think about it. When you’re in a deep state of realization, the reason life seems to flow for you is because you’re not resisting it.” Adyashanti
