Revs. Regina Dawn Akers & Jay McCormick led this group discussion about this month’s movie, Next. Regina shared how this movie assisted her as she struggled to overcome ego conditioning and live from the heart instead.
This sci-fi action thriller that stars Nicolas Cage, Julianne Moore, and Peter Falk. This insightful movie tells us the story of Cris Johnson, a small-time magician based in Las Vegas, who has limited precognition; his ability allows him to see into the very immediate future. His gift makes him a target not only of a highly motivated and heavily armed group of terrorists, but also wanted by the FBI to help them fight those same terrorists.

Calling All Volunteers! You Are Invited to Speak in the Sanctuary!
The upcoming Awakening Together Fall Retreat is fast approaching! What this means is that a lot of our regular speakers will be attending the retreat and will not be able to speak at their normal times. We will need volunteers to fill in for any of the time slots between 1-4 pm ET & 5:30-6:00 pm ET on Wednesday, October 23rd. Then again from 1-4 pm ET & 5:30-6:30 pm ET on Wednesday, October 30th. Usually Anne Blanchard, Regina Dawn Akers, Jacquelyn Eckert, Shiryl Kaplan, and Jay McCormick speak in the Sanctuary at those times. If you feel to speak for the full hour or even take on a half-hour time slot, this would be greatly appreciated.
