Starting the New Year: Resolving for Truth, January 20-24, Monday, 10am to Friday, 3pm – In the tradition of the New Year’s resolution, start the new year by determining a spiritual vision for 2020 and devising a realistic plan for achieving that vision. We will begin with your highest spiritual purpose—the spiritual aspiration, determine the best next steps for you specifically towards achieving that purpose, and then break those steps down into achievable spiritual objectives that you will be able to master in 2020. The process used is both practical and intuitive, guided completely by inner spiritual intuition. Expect to receive help with your individual spiritual obstacles. Facilitated by Regina Dawn Akers. Includes lunch daily & dinner Monday-Wednesday. Retreat fee $245; $200 if you lodge at the Retreat House. $50 non-refundable deposit. Register.

The purpose of the retreat is to help you make advances in the process self-inquiry in a very short time, so when you go home from the retreat, you will be able to use self-inquiry more effectively to abide in the true Self and detach from the false self. Letting Go of Fear, March 27-29, Friday, 9am to Sunday, 4pm – When we asked you what retreats you wanted offered in 2020, the most requested retreat was Letting Go of Fear. Fear can be experienced in a lot of ways. It may feel like uneasiness or angst, which blocks your ability to relax fully; it can be experienced as nervousness, apprehension or excessive worry; it may be experienced as absolute terror. Fear can also be repressed and experienced as other emotions, such as frustration or anger. In any case, fear distorts your perception and your ability to think clearly with the right mind. At this retreat, you will come to understand the cause of fear and learn how you can become free of fear. Facilitated by Regina Dawn Akers. Includes lunch daily & dinner Friday & Saturday. Retreat fee $150, $120 if you lodge at the Retreat House. Register.
Note: Optional outing on Thursday, Mar 26, $25, includes lunch.
Spring Retreat – Attend one or both retreats:
Freedom from the Judge, April 24-26, Friday, 9am to Sunday, 4pm – ‘There is nothing more important to true growth than realizing that you are not the voice of the mind – you are the one who hears it.’ ~ Michael Singer. Whether we realize it or not, our lives are structured around pleasing what might be called our internal “judge” (aka, the ego or internal critic). In this retreat, we will learn to identify the judge, which is nothing more than a cluster of ideas, standards and beliefs. We will look at how this cluster of thought directs our actions, attention and aspirations. You will learn to recognize that the voice of the judge is not your voice and learn how hearing this voice as “other” is helpful in discovering you are not your thoughts. We will also examine the ways in which we engage the judge even though we are attempting to disengage and, we will practice disengaging from the judge as a prerequisite to abiding in no-self. Facilitated by Jacquelyn Eckert. Includes lunch daily & dinner Friday & Saturday. Retreat fee $150, $120 if you lodge at the Retreat House. $50 non-refundable deposit. Register.
Releasing the ‘I Am Bad’ Belief, April 27-May 1, Monday, 10am to Friday, 3pm – A Course in Miracles calls it “guilt.” The Holy Spirit’s Interpretation of the New Testament (NTI) calls it “unworthiness.” Regina Dawn Akers simply calls it the “I am bad” belief. No matter what you call it, it is an untrue belief, most likely adopted in early childhood, which drives actions and reactions in nearly all humans. People make life decisions that they wouldn’t otherwise make because of this belief’s influence. This belief is the primary cause of stress, annoyance, anger, jealousy and other types of mental and emotional suffering. If you release this one belief, your life will be happier, and you will feel much freer than you do with the belief. This retreat will focus solely on how to release the ‘I am bad’ belief. If you come, you will learn what you need to learn to be set free! Facilitated by Regina Dawn Akers. Includes lunch daily & dinner Monday-Wednesday. Retreat fee $245, $200 if you lodge at the Retreat House. $50 non-refundable deposit. Register.
Responsibility for Sight, May 15-17, Friday, 9am to Sunday, 4pm – You are responsible for what you see, how you respond, and how you feel. It is only by consciously taking full responsibility for your experience that you learn you are, indeed, responsible for the world you see. Until we let go of our habitual ways of being, thinking, feeling and responding, we will continue to have the experiences that must surely follow from a limited view of ourselves, others and the world we live in. In this retreat, participants will learn to identify habitual patterns that prevent them from experiencing the simple truth about themselves. Participants will examine the blocks to surrender of self-will and learn fun and creative ways to practice surrender in their daily lives. Facilitated by Jacquelyn Eckert, Includes lunch daily& dinner Friday & Saturday. Retreat fee $150, $120 if you lodge at the Retreat House. $50 non-refundable deposit. Register.
